What to expect
After our first contact, by phone or email, we will arrange for a one-hour assessment, which will enable us to discuss what has prompted you to seek psychotherapy or counselling, your past and current experiences of relationships, a little bit about your life story and your expectations of therapy. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you might have on psychotherapy in general, and attachment-based psychoanalytic psychotherapy in particular.
Following the assessment, it might be helpful to have at least three fifty-minute sessions to give us time and space to consider whether we can work together in a way that will be helpful to you.
If we agree to meet again , subsequent sessions will be fifty minutes long and once weekly. However, my experience is that twice or even three times a week therapy can enable to work in-depth more quickly.
Sessions will be on-going, at the same time on the same day; it is important for effective therapy that we try to maintain a regular and continuous commitment.
